These stunning sculptures are from Vigeland Park in Oslo, Norway. The column is amazing and worth a look in the original size. T_DAWG writes: "The "circle of life", hundreds of fascinating sculptures of the human body from birth to death by Vigeland. The column in the background with all the entangled bodies is one single piece of rock, I think it took him seven years or so to finish." This amazing silhouette at sunset was taken on lantau island (the largest island in Hong Kong so says Wikipedia) at the big buddha statue. This beautiful horse had a stunning blond mane and perhaps is a blond chestnut. The orange hue of the hair creates a lovely contrast with the blond mane and the green forested hills in the background. "Ok. This is my mum.
Born in 1944 in a resettlement camp when the people living in the eastern part of Poland (later appended to USSR) were being transported to the western part of Poland.
Her mother was a cleaner, raising 5 children on her own... I can't even begin to imagine how it was... Anyway, my mum turned out tough as nails but lovely all the way... (which I believe I managed to capture here :D :D :D)"

This is an unusual but very beautiful method of getting from one point to another among the majesty of the mountaintops. As mortimer says "A small alien was spotted over the French Alps last week, exploring and searching some place to land." This was one of my favs from the past week's travel thread.
