Favorite Me theme
This was taken in Aandijk, North Holland, the Netherlands, in late spring. The town name "Aandijk" literally means "on the dike". We were in fact walking on the dike, and behind the dike is Lake Ijssel, which used to be a sea (Zuiderzee i.e. Southern Sea).
This is just a part of thousands of km of dikes in Holland.
